Announces a New Shareholder,
Attorney Lori M. Dorman
The shareholders of Hamrick, Perrey, Quinlan & Smith, P.A., voted to make attorney Lori M. Dorman a new Shareholder with the Firm effective January 2004. Ms. Dorman joined the firm in July 2002.
She is a graduate of the University Of Louisville School Of Law. Her practice focuses on business law and banking law, commercial and civil litigation, malpractice defense, and real estate law. Fifty percent of her practice is devoted to litigation.
Ms. Dorman served as President of the Manatee County Bar Association for the 2001-2002 term, and was a member of the Board of Directors from 1997 through 2003. She was president of Florida Association for Women Lawyers, Manatee County Chapter, in 1999-2000, and is currently on the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Scholarship Committee. She is also a member of several local organizations, including Manatee County Girls Club, d/b/a "Just for Girls," the Bradenton Runner's Club and the Manasota Track Club.
Ms. Dorman also volunteers much of her time and expertise to the Legal Aid of Manasota and acts as a judge for Teen Court in Manatee County. She also volunteers at Stewart Elementary School.
Ms. Dorman competes in triathlons throughout the State of Florida and is currently training for a half-Ironman competition in 2005.
