Agricultural Law - Our firm has broad experience in the area of Agricultural Law, which includes food production sites, such as farms, groves and ranches and vegetable packing plants. Alternative Dispute Resolution - Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) is the process of resolving legal conflicts without going to trial. Our firm advises clients on arbitration and mediation. We have experience in determining when a form of ADR is in the best interest of clients and meets their needs better than traditional litigation. Banking & Finance Law - Banks and financial institutions collect deposits from individuals and entities and invest those funds in loans, securities, and other assets. Our firm assists lenders, and borrowers in accordance with intricate state and Federal banking statutes and regulations. Our attorneys have experience in lending and secured transactions, loan workouts, mortgages and foreclosures, public finance, state and municipal bonds and financing, and international banking matters. We are general counsel for several independent banks and also represent regional banks and Agricultural Cooperative Associations. We have 51 years of collective experience in Banking Law. Bankruptcy Law - Our firm exclusively represents creditors (individuals and commercial clients) in bankruptcy proceedings that are initiated to reorganize debts under a plan, or to have the debtor's remaining assets distributed among the creditors thereby discharging the debtor from further obligation or restructuring. Business and Commercial Law - We provide a wide variety of services to our business clients from assisting in selecting the type of organizational entity under which to operate, preparation of agreements, sale and purchase of businesses, obtaining financing and funding for business operations, and employee relations, and dissolution. Business Organizations - The form of business chosen for a business entity potentially affects every aspect of its operations. Our firm assists our clients in formation and business planning in deciding whether they want to operate as a closely held business, limited liability company, partnership, or corporation. We advise our clients about directors' and officers' liability, dissolution, reorganization, joint ventures, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, business successions, and shareholders' rights. Divorce, Child Custody & Family Law - Our firm handles a full range of Family Law matters including adoption, divorce, separation, premarital agreements, paternity, custody, and support. Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Administration - Our firm assists individuals in pre-death planning for the distribution of assets at death, including preparation of wills and trusts. Real Estate Law - Our firm represents both commercial clients and individuals in all proceedings and transactions that deal with real property-land and the structures attached to it-including purchase and sale, title examinations, title insurance, closings, 1031 exchanges, construction, management, leases, zoning, mortgages and foreclosures and quiet title actions. State, Local & Municipal Law - The attorneys in our firm who practice in the State, Local, Municipal & Special District Law area have knowledge in the areas of powers and liabilities of the state, counties, cities and special districts, including administrative appeals and litigation. We are well versed in the requirements of the Administrative Procedure Act, which deals with administrative hearings and adjudication, administrative investigations, administrative officers and agents, administrative rulemaking, licensing, and regulatory enforcement.
