Last spring, John Quinlan served as the interim head coach of St. Stephen's Episcopal High School Track Team. The School competes in division 1 A under the Florida High School Athletic Association's rules. Quinlan re-arranged his work hours to typically begin his work day at 6:30 am to leave the office at 3:00 pm to coach the team. The clients of the firm were extremely supportive and the Team enjoyed a successful season qualifying three athletes to compete in the state track meet finals, with two of the athletes placing in their respective events.
The School's full time coach returned from sabbatical this school year and asked Quinlan to assist this spring. The team enjoys the return of a fine nucleus of athletes. Fortunately the time commitment for Quinlan will be significantly less for this coming spring. The season runs from mid February to late April and is a great challenge as the School has no track facilities and the athletes train on the soccer fields and at other local high schools.
